Trying to trend on the back of a tragedy? Not cool EDF! Not cool.

Let’s be honest, anyone whose a militant EDL supporter, isn’t the brightest crayon in the box. But even we don’t think they’d be stupid enough to mix up the English Defence League with French owned energy firm EDF .

However, the EDF social media team are apparently experiencing a bit of a heavy day as they reply to tweet stating that they are NOT the EDL and not responsible for any riots going down in London.

We just don’t buy it. You know what twitter is like. Full of people purporting to be hilarious (and very rarely are) so we think any tweet send to @edfenergy HAS to be some kind of joke. Which means that by replying EDF are actually just trying to trend on the back of something pretty, fucking awful.

A BAD and totally uncool move on EDF’s part, much like their ridiculously, high fuel prices.
