Special Delivery – Doggie Style

You know what we miss?

Post.

And we don’t mean those rubbish spam leaflets or boring bills. We mean actual, like Kylie and Jason, with a stamp on it, post.

Perhaps then the answer is to move to Brunete – a town in Spain where the council has started sending out some very special deliveries.

Dog poo.

That’s right, dear readers. Pet owners in Brunete are learning the hard way that they have to pick up after their pooches lest it be sent right back to them via the Spanish equivalent of Royal Mail.

Volunteers were recruited to sniff out info about the offending owners’ dog so the council could track their address via town records. The offending poop is then scooped, boxed and sent along with a fine to the unsuspecting owners.

It’s not the first time Brunete has taken a quirky stance on dog mess in the area and this current campaign so far has seen the amount of doggie dodo in the town fall by 70 percent.

Hat tip to advertising agency McCann for coming up with the stunt that has now gone viral (living the dream) with the great hashtag #CacaExpress as people call for it to come to their towns.

Here at TSA we’re wondering whether we could do something similar with our politicians. The amount of caca coming out of their mouths these days is starting to clog up our streets – we’ll be lucky if we can even get to the office at this rate.
