How is it that this program is still going on? It’s set to get even more boring as Sharon Osbourne is set to rejoin the X-Factor judging panel when it returns in the Autumn.
Sharon will be joining Louis Wales, Nicole Scherzinger and pop’s most boring man Gary Barlow for the 10th anniversary of the show.
Sharon is said to be thrilled to be rejoining the panel (well, with her tax bills, the money will come in handy) and said ‘I can’t wait to give Gary Barlow a big hug, sit next to the gorgeous Nicole, and of course throw water on dear Louis. Yay!’
According to claims Osbourne will be paid £1.5 for the series and will also have a £300,000 budget for first class flights between her home in LA and London, hotels, and clothing. Who said these TV big wigs were taking a pay cut?
Peter Fincham, Director of Television for ITV said of Sharon’s comeback: ‘We’re delighted to confirm our fantastic panel, who will bring an incredible combined wealth of experience to our 10th series of The X Factor.
‘I know I speak for all of us when I say we’re looking forward to bringing viewers a brilliant series this autumn.’
The audition process will also be stepping back in time as hopeful acts will face the judges close-up in an intimate audition room. However, with a modern twist, those who get chosen to perform again will perform once again in an arena to prove they can also impress an audience before they progress to the next stage.
Dermot O’Dreary will also be returning as host.
