Google Decide To Delete “adult” Blogs

The last people we would look to for moral guidance would be Google.

But apparently they do have some “ethics” and are targeting so called “adult” bloggers by threatening to remove them from the blogger network.

Sending a letter out to thousands of blog owners threatening to delete their blogs from Monday, Google says it will “prohibit the monetisation of Adult content on Blogger. After June 30th 2013, we will be enforcing this policy and will remove blogs which are adult in nature and are displaying advertisements to adult websites.”

This has meant that high profile users of the blogger platform such as Girl With A One Track Mind are jumping ship.

Zoe Margolis has hosted her blog Girl With A One Track Mind with blogger for nine years and tweeted: “I only have three days to export/self-host my entire blog? Fuck you, Google.”

That’s the danger of hosting a blog on Google, you don’t actually own it, they do. And from a company who spend a lot of time dodging tax why on earth would you trust them?
