The first day in any new job is always a bit nerve wracking. You’re finding your feet, you’re yet to know who to impress, what to do and where the coffee machine is. But generally, one thing which any newbie at work should steer clear of is dropping the f-bomb – especially when your job involves presenting the evening news.
But for brand new anchor A.J Clemente, his first day couldn’t have gone any worse. The rookie presenter launched in to his first ever broadcast on KFYR-TV as a weekend news anchor by saying ‘Fuckin’ Shit’ in to a live microphone.
His poor co-anchor clearly cringing inside tried to move things on by getting potty mouthed Clemente to introduce himself.
But in an effort to prove his sharp journalistic and observational skills A.J tweeted this straight after the broadcast…
That couldn’t have gone any worse!
— A.J. Clemente (@ClementeAJ) April 21, 2013
But his bosses didn’t disagree, A.J was immediately suspended and KFYR-TV’s news director Monica Hannan took to Facebook to pacify all those outraged viewers.
People are calling A.J’s suspension unfair and it wasn’t long before #keepAJ was trending on twitter. We say that KFYR-TV need to produce a better employee manual.
