If ever there was a group of people I wouldn’t want to piss off it would be a bunch of burly rugby players.
But as the British and Irish Lions jet in to Australia this weekend they’re in for a bit of a rude surprise as they make their descent in to Melbourne airport.
Aussie bookie sportsbet have gone all out with this stunt to welcome the opposing team ahead of the Lions versus Australia match on Saturday. The bookie who unsurprisingly are owned by our very own stunt lovers Paddy Power have painted a massive sign (which they claim is the world’s largest painting) measuring 170m wide by 90, tall on the flight path into Melbourne airport.
As they land those lions who have window seats will see an image of a wallaby getting it on with a lion beside the phrase ‘Rooting for the Wallabies’.
And here’s a fun fact for you, just in case you didn’t know, ‘rooting’ is Australian slang for…well, we won’t say it, you can guess – just check out the Wallaby!
Stay classy Australia! Stay Classy.
